Coaching check-ins

Also called: client check-ins, progress check-ins

Coaching check-ins are the structured, recurring updates clients submit to their coach, typically weights, progress photos, sleep, mood, adherence, and notes, on a set cadence. They give the coach a complete picture to coach from and give the client a predictable rhythm of feedback, which is a core driver of retention.

Scattered check-ins, some in Google Forms, some in DMs, some in a Loom, mean a coach either spends Sundays reconciling data or coaches on half the picture. Structured check-ins collect the same fields every time into one review queue, so a week's worth can be reviewed in one sitting.

Because retention in coaching depends on the client hearing from the coach on a predictable schedule, a published check-in cadence is one of the highest-leverage systems a coaching business can run.
