Difference 1
Full-stack coaching, not just lifting
Hevy Coach is a coaching layer on top of a workout tracker. That works brilliantly if your offer is 'send me programs, I'll log them'. FitFocus is a full coaching platform: programs, nutrition, habits, check-ins, messaging, scheduling, leads, and payments, all in one workspace. If nutrition, habits, or sales workflow are part of your offer, Hevy leaves you with a stack of extra tools.

Difference 2
Your brand, not Hevy's
Hevy Coach's client-side experience is the Hevy app, Hevy's brand, Hevy's listing in the App Store. FitFocus ships a true white-label client app on every plan: your name in the stores, your colours inside, your domain on transactional emails. For a premium coaching business that matters more than most coaches realise.

Difference 3
Native nutrition and habits
Hevy Coach has no native nutrition module, meal plans, macros, and food logging all live somewhere else. FitFocus covers nutrition and habit programming in the same client record as programs. If coaching is broader than lifting for you, this closes three or four tabs at once.

Difference 4
Leads, scheduling, and payments in one workspace
Hevy Coach is a coaching tool on top of a logger. Scheduling, leads, and, historically, a full payments story have all lived outside. FitFocus packs them in: a proper leads pipeline, session booking with calendar sync, Stripe-powered billing. One workspace, one subscription.

Difference 5
Honest migration, not a DIY export
Hevy Coach expects you to manage the switch yourself. FitFocus runs the migration with you: we import clients, map custom exercises 1:1, and rebuild your top programs before you log in as a coach. If you're not coaching inside FitFocus within 14 days, concierge support is extended at no cost.

Being honest
What Hevy Coach does better
No product is strictly better than another. Here's where Hevy Coach genuinely wins, so you can make the right call for your business.
- Hevy is the best lifting tracker in the category, full stop. Rest timers, plate math, PR charts, and workout history visualisation are polished in ways that matter every session, if your clients are strength-training-first, that lived experience compounds.
- Zero-install onboarding for existing Hevy users. A prospective client who already has the Hevy consumer app on their phone can become a coached client without installing anything new. For a strength-first coach that lead funnel is a real edge.
- Depth of the Hevy ecosystem. The consumer app, the community around it, the workout social data, Hevy Coach inherits a gravitational pull that a purpose-built coaching product cannot manufacture.
Switching made easy
Switching from Hevy Coach to FitFocus
We run the Hevy Coach migration with you. Expect 7–14 days from kickoff to launch, faster for solo coaches. Clients see a handover to your new branded app with their history intact.
- Export your Hevy Coach library (exercises, programs) and your client list, we send the exact steps and help with permissions.
- We import clients into your FitFocus workspace and map custom exercises 1:1, flagging anything that needs a coach decision.
- We rebuild your top programs inside FitFocus and run a dry run with a test client so you can sign off before clients see anything.
- We help you write the hand-over message for clients, what to expect, when the new branded app will be live, what their login will be.
- Launch day: your white-label client app goes live under your brand; clients install and open their full history.
“FitFocus makes program building easier through a clear structure compared to spreadsheets. The insights help me adapt training to what each client actually needs, and the team communicates regularly about what's next, which is greatly appreciated.”

Frequently asked
FitFocus vs Hevy Coach, your questions
Yes. Our onboarding team imports clients, custom exercises, and programs from Hevy Coach as part of your kickoff. We support the standard CSV exports and will help you pull them if you're not sure where to find them.
For a solo coach with under 50 clients, typically 7 days. Larger teams usually run 10–14 days. If we're not live within 14 days, concierge support is extended at no cost.
Honestly, if your entire offer is 'I send lifting programs, clients log them, we track PRs', Hevy's logger is as good as any in the category, and the zero-install onboarding from the Hevy consumer app is a real advantage. If nutrition, habits, forms, scheduling, or a leads pipeline are part of your offer, FitFocus saves you three or four other subscriptions.
Your FitFocus client app is modern and built on current mobile patterns, clients who've used Hevy tell us the transition feels clean rather than disorienting. That said, the Hevy logger is excellent and has features (plate math, specific PR visualisations) that we track as roadmap; be specific on the demo call if one of those is a dealbreaker.
Yes, they install your new branded app from the App Store or Google Play. We script the hand-over message so clients know when it's live, what it's called, and how to log in. Their training history is already waiting when they open it the first time.
Not at Hevy's consumer scale, no, that's a consumer product with millions of users, and we're a coaching platform. FitFocus supports small-group programming and shared workouts between a coach's own clients; a broader community feed is on our roadmap.
With Hevy Coach your clients use the Hevy-branded app. With FitFocus they install your own branded app from the App Store or Google Play, your name on the listing, your colours inside, your domain on emails. For a premium coaching brand, that's the biggest single delta.
No. Migration concierge is included with every FitFocus plan.
Quarterly. The `Reviewed` date at the top of the page is accurate, if it looks stale, we haven't re-verified Hevy Coach's current feature set against ours yet.
